Our Community

Wilpinjong Mine has been an integral part of the local community since 2006 and we believe it is our responsibility to support the community that supports us.

We support our local community

Our contributions include creating stable, well paid local employment opportunities, including apprenticeships and traineeships – while engaging local businesses to support our operations.

We collaborate closely with charitable organisations to understand their unique challenges and tailor our support and involve our people in directly helping these organisations to create vibrant communities.

We connect with our community through newsletters, events, the Wilpinjong Community Consultative Committee, which meets quarterly, and a monthly ‘Have a Chat’ session where members of our leadership team will answer your questions over a cuppa in Wollar.
